Jal is going to Busan Film Festival #love

Hi folks
The best way to start a new post is to start with news.
My beloved film Jal is selected for Busan Film Festival in South Korea. It's the biggest film festival of Asia and of cause I do feel proud and happy about it.

Our director Girish Malik has done a really great job. I feel proud that I have done a movie with film as an actress. His vision and the way how he "sees" a movie is fantastic. And apart of it it was the film where I really worked hard as you can imagine how the life in desert can be. It was tough for all of us I guess. And finally we have world premier in South Korea. Thats amazing.

As of now I think I won't be writing more. Let some more news come :-)

It will be a lot of critics to judge the movie, to judge me and everybody else. Who probably have not done much but they will assume they know it all. So to all those people I can say that it doesn't matter to me who thinks what or who did what and what the response will be. For me "Jal" is not a movie, it was a time frame that I lived in and whole our film crew. It was life in a desert and experience I have gone throw. And this experience and story we are sharing with the audience. Some people will like it and some won't, some will relate to it and some won't.

I am extremely excited about Busan Film Festival. As I said Jal is not a movie to me, it's something I gave all my feelings at that point of time. The way how Girish and me met in London, how we sign and how he believed and how it changed my destiny and made me come back to India ... the country I love the most.

I will be always thankful to Girish Malik that he happened to be...

Way of happiness

Hi Folks

What I feel like writing about these days is about what all of us are fascinated about.

I think the most important thing in life to do exactly what you want to do and you are born for.  The true happiness is actually a feeling, it’s something that is not given or gained. It’s just a feeling that automatically comes.

Is it fame that makes you happy? No. Money? No. The answer is so simple that probably most of you wont agree with me but I know I am right. Happiness comes naturally when you live your life and follow your heart. When you follow your heart and your real wishes and not that wishes and desires that society impose on us.

It seems like every guy in Mumbai wants to be an actor (a hero) and every girl – an actress (a heroine). Hero and heroine… Reminds me comics about supermen I read in childhood but that’s OK. And the most interesting part is that guys think by training in gym every day and taking banana protein shakes and gaining muscle: that’s enough to become a “hero” and girls think that you just need to sleep with the right producer and he will make you “heroine”. Simple isn’t it? Oh….if everything would be that easy than 99% of guys would be heroes and 99% of girls heroines. But oops…how many do we know? Let me disappoint you…to become an actor takes absolutely different things than training in gym, having muscles or having sex. Things in life are not based on having muscles or sex.  And apart of it real cinema doesn’t have 1 or 2 actors in a movie and good films are based on a story and all actors are important in it. It’s very narrow minded people have such old fashioned stereotypes and think like that.

Another question is… do you think fame makes people happy? Probably I will disappoint you as well because I have never met people who would be happy because they are famous. Of cause they all think in the beginning that fame is the meaning of life but you study psychology than you can learn why exactly person wants to be famous. Usually those people who did not get much love in childhood have such need and when they become famous they still don’t really get that something deep inside they were looking for.  Fame on its own don’t bring happiness.  Either I have never met happy people just because they have money. And apart of it in India being famous and being rich are not necessary go together.

But apart of it have I met really happy people? Yes I did and what I realized that being happy doesn’t depend on money, fame or anything like that. Happiness depends on the things you do, on life that you live. When you just do what you truly love doing and doesn’t matter what it is. We all come here for an experience and we don’t need to prove anything to anybody. We should always ask our heart and our soul, that feeling deep inside, what we really want to do, what we wanted when we were kids and what we do at our best and pursue it. And when you just do what you really love you wont be bothered about fame or success, because you will be just happy to do it every single day. And if fame or success comes that’s great but its not the target. If you love to cook you just love doing it and it doesn’t matter if people are going to like it or not (the dish I mean).

That’s what happiness is.

And of cause love. But it’s a different subject all together.

I think most of people are not ready to accept that we do come to this world for awhile and we will leave and than we are going to reincarnate again and it’s the circle that will go on and on till the time we gain all the experience we must gain.

We should never judge others and nobody can judge us as well.

But the most interesting thing that I call hilarious is when you meet some man in show business whose ego is much bigger than he is and than he looks at you with attitude and tells you that he can make you a star. Hm….That’s interesting. He probably has some secret phone number of God (or lets say Universe) that he is going to use at night and asks for you;-) He must have been a secret agent from “Matrix” or “X-men”? 

I am happy because I do what my heart tells me to. I have done mistakes, I have learned, I had tough time but with all that it was my path and it was my journey and it all made me the person I am now. People don’t change but priorities do, we do mistakes and we learn from it be causes we come here for experience.  I don’t know what I will be doing tomorrow but I know that whatever I will be doing it will be true and it will be real and it will be genuine. Always say the truth and be true to yourself no matter what it’s going to cost you because at the end of the day nobody is more powerful than Universe.

I am not writing this to be judged or criticized if it’s true or not. I just share my thoughts and my experience. Some people might think like me, some people not and some can learn. We are all different and that’s the beauty of life.

The Right Path

Hi folks

At one point of time I just realized that there are no paths we choose in life and there are no paths that choose us, there is no destiny, there is nothing of that sort. And the scary truth is that there is only ONE PATH. And it’s not for us to decide what to follow and not to follow, it’s either we are on that path or we are not. And if we are not than we will keep reincarnating and coming to this world for the same reason.  All religions of the world and all great philosophers and gurus all of them talk about and describe the same thing and the same PATH OF LIFE. And it doesn’t really matter if you are spiritual person or not, if you believe in Krishna, Buddha or Jesus or even if you are atheist. It doesn’t matter what you believe in but the moment you break the rules of nature (or rules of universe) you immediately pay for it. You may call it karma or destiny or whatever you wish to call it but this world has rules and if you don’t obey them than you pay for it. And no matter what you think or feel but you have to accept the rules and walk the right path because it is only one right path.

It doesn’t matter if you are religious or not, rules of universe never change and everything in this world work according the system, according the matrix if I can say.

Let me give you simple example. For example a person wants to loose weight. There is only one way how you can do it: eat less. You will loose weight only if you receive less calories than you burn. You can follow blood type diet, eat only proteins or exercise 24-7 in gym but you will loose weight only if amount of calories you burn is higher than the amount of calories you eat. It’s simple. You can use many different ways but the truth remains simple and universal. That’s the rule of this world (or this system). We are not in power to change it but we have the power to choose which of these options to choose.

You may be Hindu, Buddhist, Christian or even atheist but the rule of the system works same way on anyone. You might wonder what rule I am talking about? And the rule is simple: whenever you do something wrong to the system, system punishes you. Or if you want me to say it more beautifully than I can say the world punishes you or karma.

Next question is…what is the right path and the meaning of the right path? The answer is simple: it’s the path of suppression of the ego. A way when you cease to despise and hate enemies and you find their forces to grow fond, a way when you look at the world not as on the enemy and as on the best friend … It’s like when everything you do is right and selfless. Imagine it’s the last day of you life, what would you do and how would you behave? See…J Exactly. So when everything you do you are able to compare to that feeling and it’s the same than you know you are on the right path. When you realize this than you move forward very fast and than you feel what is the true meaning of life….to be selfless and to do to others what you would wish for yourself. Whatever you send to this world you get back. It’s the system, matrix I can say. It’s like a balloon, so whenever we are sending away it is coming back to us and it’s the law of whole universe. We have to do the right things and be selfless otherwise we will be wrong elements in the system and we are out of this path. There are no other ways. This path is tough and not easy and sometimes you might cry and get depressed and wonder why I am living like this and moving forward when maybe it’s much more easier to live like most of people do and be selfish, materialistic and care only about personal benefits? Light exists only at the end of the right path and if you don’t follow it than you are out. There is simply no other way. There is just no other choice. (It’s same like with loosing weight, till the moment you burn more calories than you receive it will never happen).

You know if for example all great philosophers, gurus and prophets met they would have nothing to argue about as people who obtained the TRUTH of the world just see it in everything and they knew that it’s not about God or anybody above, it’s all about doing and feeling the right things.

You might be disappointed if I tell you there is no God who is responsible for your actions. And if you do something bad you can’t go to temple and pray for forgiveness and than expect something good happen to you. System doesn’t take “bribes”. Of cause it’s more easy to believe that there is someone up there whom you can held responsible for everything you didn’t do and all your faults you can excuse with destiny. And of cause it’s more easy to believe that you can be an asshole towards other people but than simple visit to temple will take your sins away. It’s just more convenient for people to believe in. You have to be strong enough to take full responsibilities for all your actions and not every person is strong enough to be on the right path, that’s why probably there are not so many gurus or “Gods” in history.

So what’s the main thing and the purpose of life?

Is it a career? Money? Love? Children? Self realization? No it’s not. It’s easy to achieve, to get, to accomplish but it takes a very serious courage to love others more than you love yourself. To love this world and to give you best to it. It really takes a courage to put your material interests behind and to think about people who are less fortunate, to think about what have you done for this world to be better? For people? Suppress you ego and just love people, that’s it. Sounds easy? Might be but how many people like that you actually know?

When you are giving more than you are expecting to get….this is what is the right path. When you are giving love and when you care. When you are doing the right things like it’s the last day of your life. This is only one way to feel divine light.

I always wonder how many people come to temple or church and they ask, ask and ask. And everything they do is asking. It’s so easy to believe that you just go and ask without taking any responsibilities for your own actions. But what have you done to this world or people around you? You always get what you deserve, always. This is the law of universe. You can ask one million times, you can pray, you can do many different things but it’s not how Universe works.

We come to this world for a reason: to become better human beings than we used to be and we will be keep coming here till the time we realize the universal truth and till we keep our ego aside.

It takes courage as I said before but it’s why we are here. You have to be strong enough to keep going and keep moving forward towards the right direction (even after all tough experiences that comes on the way). And it’s not going to be easy. It’s a very difficult and rough path but it’s the only one that has divine light….

The way it makes me feel

"Have u ever had such feeling when u can say "on top of the world"....you know this feeling that makes u feel totally complete...united with the entire world, universe, god. Something so big and divine. It's a feeling when you understand that you are alone but in a same time u r a part of something big and permanent. It's something bigger than love, something that means FOREVER and belongs to universe. And you feel as a part of it. You feel light inside of you and you feel you can share it with everyone, you do it and it gives you some much. It's what movies make me feel, what art makes me feel... I just stand over there under the lights and with camera on me and i know this is life. It's something magical that you create and give to the camera. I am not just there, I give part of me to every second of it, I create somebody else who is not me but in same time she looks like me and has my voice. It's like another life, something else. It's like in one life you have so many others and they all look like you. It's magical. It's something you have done. It makes you heart jump and respect yourself more because you worth it, because you can do it and because you wanted it and you did it. You just stand over there with projectors on you an it's not a dream its the reality that you truly love..." Saidah Jules


At present I am shooting for my upcoming film "On the ramp". Our second schedule. With Ranvir Shorey. Shooting in Mumbai and leaving for London as well.

"Miracles...do happen"

Miracles

Did you ever wondered what is a miracle and if it happens? If we google word "miracle" Wikipedia is coming up with an answer that "A miracle often denotes an event attributed to divine intervention". So it means some sort of a divine touch I would say. There are many interesting stories you can find in internet and even if you read whole definition of miracles on Wikipedia but I am here to write my own thought and my own story be cause everything else you can google without me being there. 


As a spiritual person I do believe that everything we do has an energy and everything happens to us has an energy. Universe is an energy and God is an energy. So everything around us and we ourself is an energy and we are all are parts of one big energy if to say it in a simple language. If you are spiritual person whenever you go to temple or church or mosque or any religious place you can feel very different over there, you can feel that beautiful divine energy. And i think thats why a lot of people go there, just to feel it as it gives you peace, harmony and maybe even feeling of love, protection, etc. You can name it anything. So if to go directly to the "main course" without any "starter" as it's just a blog and not a book, let me tell you this...


According to my opinion and my visualization of life Miracle is anything that has divine energy in it and that makes you feel truly "happy". By "happy" I mean many things as for each and every person happiness has a different meaning. In my definition we will be thinking that happiness is a feeling of "blissful light" inside of you, when you feel "piece of God" inside of you. As you know we are all are created by God and we are all parts of this unique huge divine energy so when you do feel like one thats what I call happiness ("inner happiness"). 


Sometimes....you just life and life moves on and goes on and you dream about something. People do come and tell you that it's not possible and it will never happens but you keep dreaming. Than you meet people and they give you different opinions and judge and they think they are the best to know everything. But you still dreaming and than you want it so much.....and you wish for it not be cause you want to possess it or to prove anything to anybody, you just want it be cause you truly love it and be cause it's the only one thing you truly love and it doesn't matter who thinks what, you keep loving what you love and you keep dreaming about it and whatever you do you do just do it. And than you remember all fairy tales you read in childhood and you do realize they still do lead your life. And one day you meet more people who tells you its not possible be cause all dreams are not realistic. But than question arises....what is realistic? yes we are all people but who created us? who decides what is realistic and what is not? who? Why we think that north is north and west is west? be cause we have been told from the beginning that north is north. But if we all die tomorrow and new generation comes and they will be told that north is west and west is north than it will be their reality. So who are we to know what is real and what is not? Whenever anybody tells me it's not real how do they know my reality? Or when we say anything to others, how do we know? Let me tell you one thing.... whatever you believe in it's real. And it's not an allusion. But you have to believe in it from your heart. It has to be inside of your soul....where God is. And one day.....when you don't expect it anymore and when you probably started to think that it is unreal but you still do have a hope.... it happens....Universe comes to you and tells you that it is real be cause you are the one who created it and you dream becomes reality, it becomes real to everybody now. But before they were saying it's unreal... This is what I call Miracle. 


Miracle is a gift that Universe (God) sends you or bless you with. You can't pray and ask for it, you have to deserve it. It's karmic, it's energy. Everything has a rule and system works the way it does. Miracle is a divine gift, a blessing. 


Miracles happen every day but we are too blind to see them....every person comes to this world every second, sun is shining, kids are laughing and playing, flowers are blooming and this is life. It's beautiful and it is a blessing to be here and experience it. 


I think the best feeling I had and the best things I achieved so far in my life is my work and show business. When you shoot for a movie and whole unit is there and you are on set and all lights and camera on you and than you create another person, another you on screen its a wonderful feeling. And when you watch yourself on a big screen and see that another "you" that someone you created it's magical. And when so many people are coming and telling you beautiful things of cause you feel so blessed and flattered. When you shoot and big crowd comes to meet you and you see genuine feelings in their eyes. And than you feel how much you can do for them, how you can do better things and make this world a better place to be. It's the best feeling in the world. It's something I always knew will be worth it for me to be here. All these people do inspire me to grow more and make all my goals come true. And it's a magical feeling when you do see yourself on big screen and know that you did it. Maybe it was hard work or maybe it was a miracle. 


But...what a really true miracle is........


One day you meet a person.....just one simple person.....and you look at him, you look into his eyes and than everything is changing around you and you feel that entire world and universe is around and there is nothing else you need anymore......Thats the real miracle....when you can feel the entire world and universe just in one person and when nothing else matters. It will never go be cause it's inside of you. And if it ever leaves, it will always come back be cause it's truly yours. It will be always with you and you will be always too.


I am thankful to God for sending miracles into my life...
And I am thankful to him to inspire me every day for everything I do...
If I would not love I would never be Saidah Jules...

Hi Folks
I guess a lot of settings in my blog had changed and I am not really sure how it will look now. I got a lot of offers for my personal web site but as I was saying earlier I think its not a right time as yet. I will definitely come up with my personal web site but after some time. Now at present. I also have very particular ideas about my site and it has a lot of flash and dreamwork and animations. So....not now.

I guess I did not write since my birthday...uhhh....i am a grown up girl now :-)

As always....some drama....sometimes I think my life could be converted into big TV serial with some new genre or a lot of feature films could be shot....or maybe books written.

Anyway... whats at present and at present it's film "Kaanch". Kalpana Lajmi is director and we are going on floor next month...may. At present I am busy with workshops. I think about story and what it is about actually I will write some other time. It's a new film I am working on exactly right now. I will definitely write more about it but not right now.
